Bucklers were very popular from the High Middle Ages up to the Renaissance.
They were often combined with one-hand-swords.
This complex reconstruction is inspired by a Renaissance-original.
On the backside you find a leather-wrapped handle from steel and wood, which is rivetd to the steel.
